O Coventry City se sagrou campeão inglês da 2ª Divisão de 2025/26.

Coventry City, Hull City e Ipswich Town asseguraram suas promoções à Premier League de 2026/27.

A Championship conta com 24 times a cada temporada, quatro a mais que a primeira divisão.

Oxford United, Leicester e Sheffield Wednesday foram rebaixados para a League 1, a terceira divisão.

Bolton Wanderers, Lincoln City e Cardiff City foram promovidos da League 1 para a Championship em 2026/27.

Regulamento

Na temporada regular, as 24 associações se enfrentam em turno e returno, num total de 46 rodadas. O time que somar mais pontos será declarado campeão. Ele, junto com o segundo colocado, garatem seus acessos á elite em 2026/27.

Quatro times (do terceiro ao sexto lugares) disputam um playoff em cruzamento olímpico. Nas semifinais, temos jogos de ida e de volta. A final do playoff será em partida única. O vencedor garante a última vaga na primeira divisão da próxima temporada.

Os três últimos colocados da temporada regular descem para a terceira divisão.
